2503_[4] Confirmation of Minutes
RESOLVED: The Parish Council meeting minutes of Monday 10th February 2025 were confirmed as an accurate record and signed by Chairman.

2503_[5] Chairman’s Report
- A report was received from the Chairman. The Chairman highlighted the upcoming litter pick on Sunday 23rd March at 10.00am.

- A report was received from the Clerk
- Noted – upcoming policies for review listed in the appendix
- Noted – Budget and precept report published to answer FOI request
- Noted – availability of litter picking equipment from BANES
- Noted – The Clerk has requested BANES parking enforcement to visit West Harptree
- Noted – resident parking issues Ridge Crescent
- Noted: correspondence shared with council members listed in the appendix.
- The council reviewed an email request regarding a footpath from West Harptree to East Harptree. The council were not aware of any investigations and felt that the current public footpaths across the fields were being used and served this purpose of walking between the villages. It was questioned whether introducing a footpath along the road could be used as a reason to remove the current school bus service.
2503_[7] Meetings attended Reports
- Noted: Cllr Weatherill provided a report on attendance of the Chew Valley Area Forum and gave a presentation as a member of and behalf of the “Chew Valley Flood Resilience Group”. (see appendix)
2503_[8] Memorial Hall Reports
- Noted: The recent Harptree Hop event had been a success and had raised funds to support the upkeep of the village hall as a valuable local resource in the community.
2503_[9] Highways Reports
- Noted: the double yellow lines approved in the last TRO had not been completed on Ridge Lane
- Noted: Nitrous Oxide containers littered along roads continued to be an issue
2503_[10] Recreation Ground Reports
- Noted: The Clerk had placed the order for the playground improvements
- Reviewed: padlock options for playing field. The council preferred a key operated lock rather than a combination lock.
2503_[11] Ward Councillor’s Report
- Apologies for absence were received from BANES District Cllr David Wood

- RESOLVED: To enter a confidential session to review HR matters
- RESOLVED: To confirm staff salary scale increment to SCP25 for April 2025 in accordance with contract of employment

Proposal: Conversion of a residential outbuilding to provide ancillary accommodation and a new garage and workshop.
