There was no public participation contributed by members of the public.

2409_[2] Apologies for Absence
Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs Gay and Ireland
2409_[3] Declaration of Interest
There were no declarations of disclosable pecuniary or personal interests.
2409_[4] Confirmation of Minutes
RESOLVED: The Parish Council meeting minutes of Monday 8th July 2024 were confirmed as an accurate record and signed by Chairman.
REPORTS – To receive and note any reports:
2409_[5] Chairman’s Report
- A report was received from the Chairman which highlighted that the pavement area on the main round around the church required cleaning. Dst Cllr D Wood noted the issue for further action.
2409_[6] Clerk’s Report
- A report was received from the Clerk
- Reviewed: Defibrillator pads may need replacement. Cllr Hooper would check the pads. The Clerk was authorised to purchase new pads if required.
- Noted: Entry of Bowdens of Harptree into BANES list of assets of community value
- The correspondence shared with council members listed in the appendix was reviewed and responses agreed. Cllr Mitchell offered to contact local parishes to investigate reviewing local housing needs as a wider local group.
2409_[7] Meetings attended Reports
- Cllrs H Colton and S McCombe attended a playground design webinar with ideas for playground development.
- Cllr H Colton reviewed a webinar on the local bus service and new timetables. Cllr S McCombe highlighted the sterling job done by the team responsible for bringing back a local bus service to the area.
- Cllr Weatherill attended an emergency planning presentation. The council agreed to review the plan at a future meeting.
2409_[8] Memorial Hall Reports
There were no reports regarding the memorial hall
2409_[9] Highways Reports
- Cllr Hooper reported that the double yellow lines on Ridge Lane had been partially removed but had not been extended according to the TRO plan. Dst Cllr D Wood noted the issue for further action.
- The council thanked Cllr Hooper and members of the public who had cleared brambles on Ridge Lane
2409_[10] Recreation Ground Reports
- Noted: The grass on the recreation ground had been regularly cut, but the cut grass had been left in long piles rather than being mulched. The Clerk noted this for follow up with BANES.
- The play inspection report was reviewed by the council. The council noted the feedback in the report and resolved that a contractor should be asked to check the structure of the swings when future works take place on playground refurbishment.
- Reviewed: Details for community survey regarding playground equipment. Cllr McCombe offered to send out a survey to allow a review of the results at the next meeting.

- A report was received from BANES District Cllr David Wood

Reviewed: Doctors Surgery Temporary Building and expiry of planning permission (21/03192/FUL). Cllr Mitchell offered to draft a letter regarding the expiry of the planning application.
