Philip,
Steve has passed this enquiry to me as he has been working at Glastonbury and is slightly out of the loop. I had a meeting with the brewery and the council licencing officer last week. The brewery has voluntarily closed the pub for a short period to find a new manager/licensee due to concerns the police and council had about the management of the establishment due to the incidents you refer to in your email. No licence has been revoked or reviewed at this stage – this is voluntary action the brewery have taken.
I am hoping the brewery will be able to install a new manager and re-open the pub soon.
Kind regards,
Lee

Dear Stephen,
Please may I check, do you have any information I can report publicly to the Parish Council regarding the recent sudden closure of The Crown Inn in West Harptree, our understanding is that their licence has been revoked following 3 violent crimes in the last few months.
Many thanks,
Philip Edwards,
Clerk, West Harptree Parish Council
